“3 Bites of the Cherry” is a four piece (Voice, Guitar, Bass, Drums) based around the talents and songs of Tim Wells and Stewart Redpath. Inspired by the blues but incorporating elements of folk and rock, their music is played with 100% commitment with lovely melody, fine arrangements and improvisation and the extraordinary voice of Tim Wells.
Tim Wells:
After a 20 year career in theatre and music productions in South Africa, Tim relocated to Bath in Somerset in 2013. Whilst living in South Africa he appeared as lead vocalist in many productions, including professional musical productions and music compilation shows.
Tim has 3 albums of his own rock-pop material under his belt and ten songs from the three albums have been played on radio in South Africa and a couple of songs have been played on community radio in the UK. Tim has also written music material for TV and radio commercials . The Tim Wells Band performed in major venues and festivals in the late nineties and 2000 and in 2009 metamorphosed into the Tim Wells Blues Band, which  performed at two Durban International Blues Festivals, the FIFA 2012 Soccer World Cup fan parks, The Durban World Music Festival as well as other venues and private functions.
Stewart Redpath:
Stewart has been a resident of Bristol and active guitarist, writer and producer since the 90s. His musical ventures and experience encompass rock, folk, latin and world genres. He has written, recorded and performed with singers like Indira Roman (Havana, Cuban/Latin) and Rozaya (Bristol, soul). With Tim and long-time collaborator Chris Gill on bass he has built a unit that really works. Over year together, Stewart is now completing production on their first album.
